The establishment and the community:

Visitors from the community are invited into the Nursery to speak to the children when relevant.

Services within the community:

The Windmill Playgroup is situated in Deanburn School grounds and the Nursery work closely with them, with several children attending both establishments.

Links with primary schools:

Children who attend Deanburn Nursery Class generally move to Deanburn Primary School. The Nursery children attend some class assemblies, are involved in whole school fundraising events and each group attend ICT weekly.  They also have access to the school gym hall and library which they also access weekly.

The key workers will liaise with all Primaries involved, ensuring a smooth transition for all children.
